Soul Care

A safe and confidential setting to place your burdens at Jesus’ feet and find rest in His teachings, while incorporating therapeutic techniques and prayer, in hopes of taking steps towards holistic healing.

 A Soul Caregiver is eager to walk alongside you in any of the following areas:

Soul Care Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can request Soul Care?

A: Anyone in the Citylight family.

Q: How much does Soul Care cost?

A: Soul Care is free to all members and attendees of Citylight Lincoln’s family.

Q: How long does Soul Care last each week?

A: Sessions run for a maximum of 1 hour each week.

Q: How long does the Soul Care process take?

A: Individuals receiving Soul Care should expect to have sessions once a week anywhere from 6-10 weeks.

Q: What is the difference between Professional Counseling and Soul Care Counseling?

A: Professional Counselors have obtained a Master’s Degree or higher in order to practice and have a license in the state of Nebraska. Our Soul Caregivers are lay people (non licensed) people in the church who have gone through extensive and ongoing training and coachings. Soul Caregivers are not paid or on church leadership. Soul Care is not intended to go as in depth as professional therapy sessions or diagnose individuals with mental health disorders.
