Merry Christmas CL Family!

Today we celebrate Jesus being born! We have a God who loved us so much he came to earth as a vulnerable baby, lived a perfect life dedicated to our heavenly Father, and died a death that we all deserved to give us salvation. Be in awe with us today as we remember Jesus becoming man.

Christmas Day: Family Activities

For those of you who have kiddos at home, we want to equip you with fun ideas for this Christmas season! Not only to experience joy as a family but to teach your kids the true meaning of Christmas! JESUS!

Thank You Jesus

Later in the day, when your family is ready for some quiet time, bring out the card making supplies. Help your child fold card stock to fit your envelopes and decorate the fronts of several cards to write thank you notes in the coming days.

Save the last card for a special purpose: before the day ends, encourage your child to design a special thank you card to place in the empty space under your Christmas tree. Inside, encourage your child to write a prayer to thank Jesus for the dierence He makes in the lives of those who trust Him.

Peace Banner

Make a banner to decorate your home and remind your family that trusting God’s plans brings peace.

Directions: Cut triangular banners from the paper and arrange them pointing down. Help your younger child print P E A C E with markers, one letter per banner. Older children can make a more elaborate banner with a P E A C E O N E A R T H caption (inserting blank triangles between words). Punch holes in the top two corners and help your child thread ribbon through the holes, or simply fasten the triangular banners to the ribbon with a stapler.

Pause for Prayer

Let's pray in response to this day!

"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept HOLY. We come before you today in thanksgiving. You have showed us your undeserving mercy by sending your son, making the Word into flesh. Living a perfect and pure life to glorify your name alone! He is the prophesy fulfilled, the pure sacrifice, and the one who washed us clean! Jesus, would we not be distracted by the presents, food, and classic movies, but only receive them as a gift from you!  We welcome you into our
home and ask that you renew our minds and remind us of the celebration of you today. Jesus we worship you! You are the best gift we could ever receive and you gave us more by giving us the Holy Spirit. He helps us, guides us, and refines us to reflect Jesus more. His soft whisper keeps us close and His faithfulness never breaks. Praise you for this day!"
